I guess I’ve always looked at the Halloween celebration of today as more of a secular holiday; then again I think Christmas has also become a rather secular holiday. It was primarily because of our reasoning and having alot of his friends from church still participating. He didn't understand why it was okay for them but not us..... definitely made for a hard season. We just re-affirmed why we felt the way we did, stayed understanding to his frustration, shared some times that we had gone through the same thing (as kids &amp; as an adult), and this year he hasn't had any issues with seeing the decor and knowing it's coming up.
