I'll throw a light muslin blanket over her so no nips peek out from the side. For me, I have to sit the waist a little lower on my hips. Weird as it may sound, I actually use a clean cloth diaper and roll it up under my boob to help prop it up, so I don't have to hold it. I have! YOu basically need to adjust the shoulder straps to drop your LO down so that your boob can get into her mouth. I just got LO as low as possible and I was wearing a buttondown so that was easy enough. She's pretty distracted nursing in public so personally I'm not comfortable walking around because I'd have to be adjusting all the time.
