<description>&#60;p&#62;I teach HS English! If they put you in 9th you should be really comfortable. At that point things are still pretty basic. Hopefully the teachers at the school are open to sharing and will make the transition easy. It would be a lot more challenging to go into the upper grades, but I'm sure you'd figure it out...&#60;/p&#62;

<description>&#60;p&#62;I just graduated last Friday (woot!) with a degree in Middle School Education with a dual English/Social Studies certification.  Admittedly, I had my heart set on teaching social studies in a middle school.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;However, jobs are difficult to come by these days and I just received a call from a local high school that wants to interview me for a high school English position.  The issue is, I haven't been in a high school since I graduated from one 11 years ago!  Do you think high school is much different than teaching middle school?  Most of my student teaching experience has been in the 8th grade.
