@youboots: the pull out method is actually really effective as long as your so is good at knowing when he needs to pull out. All the people who say it doesnt work just failed to pull out in time. We used that successfully for about 3 years total before lo and for 2 years after

The Ava algorithm doesn't attempt to interpret cycles longer than 35 days...so if you have long or irregular cycles, you'd have to do the interpretation yourself and/or plug the temps into Fertility Friend/Kindara/Ovia/other app of choice. And like
@MamaBear87: said, with irregular cycle lengths, your "safe" days would be limited to the first few days of menses and after confirmed ovulation.

The tough part will be that your cycles will likely be irregular so her predictions won't be accurate. You will be able to see when you ovulate so could likely have sex after you o for a couple weeks but I wouldn't chance it before.

Ava works like charting and bbt. You just don't have to wake up at the same time for it to be accurate

My depo expires 2/7. DH and I want to TTC staring in June or July but want to prevent until them. I’m a wedding photographer, right now I’m only booking through June. I was really sick my first trimester and weddings were miserable. Also we have a big weekend away in June.

Since I’ve been on depo I know it could take a year. But I also don’t know how long it will take my cycle to regulate or when I’ll be ovulating. I’d rather not be on hormonal birth control and am not a huge fan of condoms.

Has anyone used the Ava wristband to prevent pregnancy with an irregular cycle?
