DD is only 3 months, but I can already see how much she loves daddy. She gives him the biggest gummy smiles ever! I have to work for those smiles and he gets one just for walking in the door. I do love it though, it's sweet to see them interact like that.

Aww daddy's girl! DD still prefers mama right now but I could totally see her being daddy's girl when she's older. And I bet DH would rub it in my face too!

I think someimes it's just the change that distracts them! Sometimes when Charlie would cry inconsolably, I'd take him outside and he'd stop crying right away!!

When our LO gets restless or distracted mid-way through his evening feed, that's usually the time DW calls me in to warm up a bottle and entertain LO, and it definitely feels like "Daddy to the rescue".

I think I'm going to need a cape, and a theme song.

@chopsuey119: thank God for daddy, right?!

Daddy is awesomesauce at getting baby to sit still and play. He manages to get the right toys and/or make baby content.

She does this already, at 7 months old :/ I have no idea why she's crying or upset and he comes in and saves the day. I love and hate it at the same time. Love that she loves her daddy, hate that sometimes I feel like a bad mom for not being able to fix it :(

Yup. DD is totally a daddy's girl. She gets so excited when he comes home from work. I never get that kind of affection when I get home. In truth though, I love it. It makes me happy to see how close she is with her dad.

Aw!

When I was little my dad made everything better! I would cry and cling to his legs when he left for work.

DD woke from a late nap at 4pm. Maybe she had a bad dream, but she would not stop crying for ME. I held her, lied next to her in bed, offered her water, something to eat...

She would not stop crying!

4:22pm DH walks in the door. DD immediately stops crying, runs into his arms and is all smiles.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

They're out getting dinner for us right now.

I have 2 quarts of Haagen Daz chocolate ice cream in the freezer. I'll be having some tonight for sure! :)
