They wash after diaper changes, before and after meals, and at other times too. Our daughter loves washing her hands at the kid-sized sink in her daycare room. The only exception is if an infant is too young and doesn't have head control but then you need to use a wipe on their hands. </p> <p>@Cherrybee: Don't worry! I work at a daycare and know all these regulations, but I don't do it at home! I think it may be a state requirement though. It makes a lot of sense since babies can easily get poop on their hands during a diaper change, and it cuts down in general on daycare germs.</p> <p>@Cherrybee: i never do at home!
