The other appointments (so far) have been very quick, and my dr's office is much closer to my office than to my husband's. I think he only missed 1 and it was due to scheduling conflict, and it was a quick check up (in and out in 5 minutes, no u/s). Now that DS is here, he goes to all those appt with me too. I think he's only missed 2-3 because of work or travel. Now that we are near the end though, the appointments are more interesting (am I dilated yet?) so he insists on coming to all of them. I've even gone so far as to reschedule appointments if DH needs to travel or has a meeting he can't move. It's no fun, and I go alone. DH doesn't have time off of work to go to my appointments. He has only gone to 3 of my ultrasounds (dating, NT, and level 2). I've had 5+ ultrasounds since then. I was so glad he was there with me. Now, he goes to most of the ultrasounds (I get them once a month), but not the regular OB appointments. Even if he could come I don't think it would be worth it because my appointments only take about 15 minutes, though I do wish he got to hear the heartbeat every week like I do! He genuinely enjoyed going, but when it came down to a cervical check and done it just wasn't worth it for him to give up a work day for it (he's self employed). He came to the dating and anatomy ultrasound for #2 and then when I've had follow up ultrasounds he's had his phone on him so we can talk if need be but he's been away a lot and most of the appointments are so short and boring that I've been fine with him not going to most things. He was away for my glucose test so I did have to call my mom to come up and help out before because I just crash after it, I can't get myself up for hours, but he couldn't have helped being away and we had learned the lesson already from #1.
