The only time he's not patient is when she wants him to read to her and it REALLY annoys me when he doesn't want to! She wants the same books over and over and it does get old, but I think we should encourage her love for books. Plus, I'm a SAHM and I have to read these books to her all day long, he only has to do it for like a half hour at a time. But I catch him trying to distract her with toys so he doesn't have to read. Not ok!

@Mrs. Bee: I'm glad I'm not the only one.. I'm usually the impatient one, so I guess I should ask DH this question.

Yes. The other day our LO was fussy and wouldn't go to sleep, needed to be held/rocked, and my DH said to him, "You're wasting everyone's time, S!" I told him I would take over at that point. Later we laughed about what a ridiculous thing that is to say to a baby! Like others, we tend to trade off getting frustrated and tag-team it to give the other a break.

Yes... just this morning Wagon Jr. woke up at 5am crying (he's been doing this lately, don't know why) and we were afraid he was going to wake the baby (which he did). Wagon Sr. ran into WJ's room and yelled angrily "RJ! Stop it right now!" I was upset. He's just a kid and it's first thing in the morning, and he was crying!! Not whining to be spoiled or something like that. He was sleepy and tired and genuinely upset.

But WS apologized for it quickly and made up for it by giving him treats after breakfast.

Yes, he tells her to hurry up and it bugs me. She obviously isn't in a hurry. He should phrase it in another way.

YES!! What's so weird is that he's ALWAYS the patient one between the two of us, but when it comes to DD, he's quick to temper.... well, only when she's fussy/crying/inconsolable, which has been happening a lot recently. But there are a lot of times when he keeps his cool with her and I'm losing it. So I guess we trade off.

YES!!! We were giving LO his nebulizer treatment this morning and he'd roll his eyes when LO would squirm. I told him to chill out and if he didn't I would do it myself. He forgets that LO is a baby and can't control his actions.

Yes. He never use to be until DS was around 2.5-3ish and it makes me upset! Sometimes his expectations are so high for DS...he's just a child.

DH is usually sooo patient with LO but he was snapping at her this morning because she was eating her breakfast in slow motion. It bothered me because he has the day off and has no plans...plus she is a baby and wasn't doing anything wrong.

I told him to chill out...
