I know some of my friends aren't good about responding, so I don't expect much and it doesn't bother me. However, one girl I used to be close to would take months to respond, and she would respond to the original message, not start a new one. Especially if it was something that seemed personal or time-sensitive... And with facebook - you can see when they've "read it" which makes it more awkward! But I am good at giving people the benefit of the doubt - mostly people just forget to reply! So I try to follow up by phone if it's really important. </p>
