I don't think so. I think if it were a choice between a broken cookie or a whole, he'd pick the whole, but if all that's left is broken, he'll take it.

OMG yes. I bought my son a muffin yesterday and by the time it came home, it was mashed. So we had to cut it up before we gave it to him otherwise it would have been melt down city.

Not yet!

But my nephews wouldn't eat chips if they were broken...

Yes, for almost everything! It drives me crazy. Sometimes he'll take a bite out of it and then complain that it's not whole!

Yes! She can't stand it when I break a cookie or even tear off a piece of a sandwich. She loves to share ...it is just that broken piece thing that drives her bonkers when she is on the edge.

I randomly bought 100 mini candy canes before Christmas to make things a bit more festive for the kids. Well it turns out that they absolutely love candy canes! But heaven forbid that the candy cane is broken... for some mysterious reason, that's the end of the world!

I figure that it must be some weird thing that kids do sometimes, because I've seen a number of other parents mention it. Olive vastly prefers a whole cookie over a half cookie... it's ridiculous though because she rarely finishes the cookie in the first place! So you just end up wasting half a cookie. Oh well, I guess that's my job as her dad to finish that cookie for her.
