It's not like they're actually getting a lot of time off the job with all of the work they do outside of the school, and I think many parts of their job do suck!</p> <p>It's like being a SAHM mom to a dozen or more kids (at least a few of whom probably have developmental/behavioral issues), with the added joys of bureaucracy and grading papers. Ugh. Everything they do is going to make someone mad. Teachers are held to an impossibly high standard and people forget they are real people with real families and very real annoyances with their jobs that have nothing to do with their students. I know several people who aren't teachers who get snow days and I cant imagine anyone ever being annoyed by that. However, I have a FB who's a teacher that bugs me by constantly posting about her vacations.
