It feels different than nursing and took some time to get used to, but now I'm used to it. I also have the Hygiea (purchased after reading lots of reviews, especially OhApostrophe's blog). I like that I could adjust both suction speed and strength to my comfort. I found pumping - at first - more painful. I was lucky and had zero pain with breastfeeding but found the first few goes at pumping quite uncomfortable. After a week or so it was fine and didn't hurt. I pumped after I fed my LO. Maybe I'm not doing it right but my nipples were super sore for a few hours afterwards. I was able to pump 2 oz out and now I'm a little traumatized to try it again! Did pumping hurt for any of you? </p>
