I hate feeling like everyone is staring at an incompetent momma with a screaming baby. I used to hate taking my LO out on errands when he was a couple months old because he would always start fussing halfway through our trip and refuse the pacifier. She never had that soft, husky newborn cry. I never went out in public unless I had to because I was so stressed out that she would cry and people would stare. It stresses me out even when I'm in a place where it's "okay" for babies to cry like my Parent & Baby class. In general, I don't like inconveniencing people so I think that translates into higher stress for me when I'm out and about with baby and she cries... even though I know it's okay and normal and *expected*. I'm terrified of taking her on her first plane ride. I noticed that some of the other moms in my class aren't as bothered by their baby crying and will let them fuss and cry.
