We have professional dress, and are in a very conservative office downtown DC where politics reign supreme. I work in a VERY professional environment and I would wear it. My rule is to always dress more formally than you think the culture will be. </p> <p>I was job hunting postpartum and invested in a new suit- it was well worth the money spent in order to advance my career. What really threw me off was the one potential employer who had the recruiter tell me specifically not to wear a suit.
