Nursing is the last part of the routine at 3.5 months. He often falls asleep, but continues to eat. If I pull him off prior to his being done, he'll wake up and want more food. He usually wakes up when I put him into the crib as well, but then he falls asleep quickly.

Our routine is bath, lotion massage, PJs, bottle, and song. Takes about 45 minutes.

My LO is 4.5 months and I nurse him as part of our bedtime routine. Our routine is: book if he's not too cranky, bath every other night, diaper change, PJs, nurse, put in his crib, one song. He is a slow eater and usually nurses for about 35 minutes. On non-bath nights the routine takes about 40-45 minutes; bath nights are closer to 50-60 minutes.

My LO is 27 months and nursing is still one of the last parts of our bedtime and nap routine. It's a lovely was to connect at the end of a busy day and she seems to find the sucking action very soothing and relaxing (although she stopped nursing to sleep at night around a year ago).

Until about 10 months, she nursed to sleep. I know for some it's not ideal, but it worked well for us!

Yep. LO is 3.5 mo and nurses to sleep for bedtime when I'm home. If I'm working and DH is doing bedtime he feeds her about 20 min before going in the crib. She's a quick eater though. We also don't do a bath as part of bedtime. I think it's better for baby skin to not be bathed daily, so we only do a bath 2-3 times per week and usually during the day because then she's not tied up for her early bedtime and has more time to see DH when he gets home from work.

Not your question, but have you tried a faster flow nipple?

But yes, we do a bottle. LO is 8 months and her bedtime routine is bath (every other night) then diaper change, pjs, bottle, then (bc we have to hold upright for reflux) 15 min of reading books, into sleep sack, and then a song and put down. It takes 30-40 minutes, but LO is a fast drinker (sized up to level 4 nipples otherwise she gets bored and she eats 8-9 oz in about 5-8 min)

We don't do a bath every day, and we all enjoy baths and books more when she's not tired. So we do diaper change, pjs, nurse, sleepsuit, white noise, crib, kisses from lovey.

Yep, we still do a bottle at 16 months. Though she's becoming less as less interested in it the past week or so

We always ended bedtime routine with nursing (still do at 2 lol) Some nights are longer than others. I guess it does stretch it out but that's just the way we've always done it and what has always worked!

We nurse, yes, but B is a super-fast eater. We do dim lights, change diaper, PJs, nurse (& change again if necessary!), sleeping bag, then story. No bath because it's just too time consuming.

When LO was an infant, we gave a bottle as part of our bedtime routine, and I also gave her a dream feed when I went to bed.

Our bedtime routine includes a bottle, and LO is a SLOW drinker! It usually takes him 30 - 40 mins to drink 3 - 4 oz! So once we include bath, lotion, PJ, swaddle, holding upright for his reflux, and 1 board book, everything all together takes at LEAST an hour!

Just wondering if you include nursing/bottle feeding in your pre-bedtime routine, and if that stretches out the routine.
