Eww, that is gross. If it's not cooked all the way, like something that is not suppose to be eaten raw, I'll lose my appetite.

I HATE dealing with raw poultry. Like, over the weekend we hosted a party and make turkey and I wanted to barf the entire time we were preparing it. There's something about a raw turkey that makes it feel eerily human. *barf* As for eggs, the ONLY time it makes me feel sick is when I crack it open and it's a twin yolk. EWWWW.

Sadly, I can't eat Vietnamese sandwiches anymore because I had one where the meat was really fatty and I completely lost my appetite for it.

I do get grossed out sometimes so I'm scared of what will happen when I get pregnant. Raw chicken breast freak me out, however it is my favorite source of protein so I just have to suck it up and deal with it!

I usually love love love meat - red meat, chicken, anything. During pregnancy I haven't loved it so much. Red meat grossed me out for a bit - now I can eat it, but just don't enjoy it as much as I used to.

@skibobrown: You can always getting protein and iron from other sources! Spinach, nuts, legumes, etc. :)
I think I have issues with meat because I'm the one who cooks. @lilteacherbee: I don't think I'd have problems with meat if my DH cooked. :)

Ugh, yes!! I hateee raw meat. Looking at it, smelling it, touching it, etc. My husband LOVES to cook, so our deal is that he cooks and I wash dishes (we rent an older home with no dishwasher). It works for us!

I was a vegetarian for more than 10 years, and there are still a lot of things about meat that I can't handle. I rarely ever cook meat myself b/c the raw meat makes me squeamish. I rarely eat large amounts of meat in a single meal, and I often opt for vegetarian meals even at restaurants to this day. I think I'm healthier now for having some animal protein in my diet, but I don't make it a substantial portion of what I eat.

Btw, meat totally grossed me out for my entire first trimester. Even now I've been eating less meat than before I got pregnant. I'm kind of worried about the health ramifications, but I figure my body would be craving meat if I really needed the extra protein and/or iron...

I have wanted very little meat during pregnancy- in fact I must be winding down because I ate my first BLT since getting that BFP months and months ago. Usually I am pretty moody about whether I want meat or not before pregnancy too.

Yes! I don't like cooking meat very much but I do because my husband loves it. I usually have a small portion. I have a real hard time touching or looking at hamburger meat. Last night at a family Christmas party my bil spent the entire day roasting a whole pig. I almost cried when I saw it. Then when he is carving it half the family comes outside to eat some of the skin. My husband tries to hand me a piece and it had hair on it. *shudder*

I tried being a vegetarian before and it didn't work out. I think I would be really being a pescetarian.

*gag*
I cracked open an egg and it was bloody around the yolk. *shudder*
Totally lost my appetite for anything protein related. Thankfully I have lots and lots of veggies I can cook up.
This happens to me pretty often. Does this ever happen to you? (getting grossed out. not the egg).
