Yes, he has always really liked being on a schedule! Sleeping in throws him off for some reason, but he very rarely does it. Now at 2 he needs to take a morning nap as his only nap of the day (afternoon preschool), so we wake him if he sleeps past his usual 7am wakeup.

Today my 8.5 month old slept in about an hour later than usual. At the time, I was so happy, since he hasn't slept in like this for months. The happiness soon ended when he cried 30 minutes for his first nap (although he ended up napping ok). Then same thing for his second nap, except this was 40 minutes of crying! We'll see how long this nap lasts. Both times I went in at about 15 minutes, but it didn't help because as soon as I put him down again, he freaked out. My normally easy (usually) napper has been quite the challenge today.
Does this happen with your LO? What I don't understand is that I still put him down after a certain amount of wake time, so it really shouldn't matter what time exactly he woke up, right? But it sure seems like it made a big difference today. :(
