I always measured 1-2 weeks bigger and then near the end it jumped up to 4-6 weeks and they induced me at 39wks because of a big baby. It is different for everyone though :)

I think that's just an estimate of the baby's size which also sort of determines your due date. I have friends whose due dates kept changing too. Since I had a blood clot condition they had me get an additional ultrasound to make sure the baby was growing at the rate he was suppose to grow. They measured every bone in his body. And, btw, congrats! I had no idea you are pregnant! :)

Yes and no. Both my previous babies were big but DS was 8 weeks early and I went into labor with S at 39 weeks.

A friend was in the same situation as you. She thought her due date was 2 wks before they said and measured 2 weeks ahead the entire pregnancy. She was induced and baby finally made her appearance at nearly 42 wks. Was just a big baby. Am not sure that will make you feel better :)

Yeah, fundal height doesn't really mean anything. I measured two to three weeks behind throughout my entire pregnancy last time and delivered a 7.5 lbs baby on her due date. I had been convinced I would go late but nope! This time, I'm measuring a week or so behind but obviously don't know when baby is going to be born!

I consistently measured 1-2 weeks ahead both using fundal and ultrasound measurements, I delivered a week early (and I knew exact dates). However, I'm not the world's best baby house, I'm very short, and he ran out of room at 39 weeks when I delivered last time.

I think it's a combination of a lot of things that leads to the baby's arrival. I like the having the baby at the wedding vote ;) I can't remember, is it a local wedding?

You can measure up to 3 to 4cm bigger and it doesn't matter according to my midwife. I was usually a week ahead but I went a week late (and had a big baby).

I measured much larger starting early on. I had DS at 39 weeks because I chose an elective c section because of his size. If not I am positive I would have passed my due date. I showed no signs that labor was coming - he didn't drop, I wasn't dilating or anything. So for me measuring ahead meant a large baby not an early baby. And my due date was never changed.

I measured 3 weeks ahead. I haven't had my babies yet but my friend who measured 4 weeks ahead had her healthy 7 something pound baby at 39 weeks. I'm pretty sure all that really matters is your fetal growth. My doctor only measure my uterus once. He said I was going to get huge & that was that.

My fundal height is usually 1-2 weeks ahead and my OB says that it can be plus or minus up to 2 cm from the week that you are and that's normal. My due date hasn't changed at all.

I measured bigger in the middle of my pregnancy, think like measuring 24/25 weeks at only 19 weeks. eventually our growth slowed down, and I was only measuring a week ahead until 37 weeks when i completely evened out. i had LO at 39+4. I'm sure you'll be fine! was highly tempted to vote for the last option though ;)

If any of your measured farther along did you end up having your baby earlier? Or am I just hoping for nothing? A little background, when I first found out I was pregnant I guessed that I was due March 7 due to my LMP. Then they said I am due March 20. Then they moved it to March 17 but now everytime I get my dang uterus checked it is several weeks ahead. And I still pass as not pregnant so whatever that means.

I guess I am only freaking because my brother is getting married March 7.....
