We have an infant seat that I have in my car and we have the convertible in my husband's car. When I was on my maternity leave, my LO never even sat in my husband's car since I drove her everywhere. On the very few occasions that he was driving her somewhere without me, we just swapped cars. </p> <p>Right now, I'm a SAHM and at 9 months we still haven't installed the convertible in his car. I will be taking 5-6 months off for my maternity leave, so during that time I'll be using our bigger SUV with the infant base installed. Our plan is to install the convertible in our other (smaller) SUV from the get-go and not get another infant base. </p> <p>The smaller SUV will primarily be used for daycare pickups/dropoffs (my DH will drop off and I will pick up or vice versa) and she won't be going to daycare until around 6 months old. </p> <p>I just don't see the need to spend $80 on another base if she'll rarely be in that car. Does this sound like a good plan? Did anyone do something similar to this? </p>
