It hasn't happened in our Nextfit but did happen in the Cosco Scenera we just used for traveling. I loosened it all the way and re tightened it and it seemed to be ok.

This was happening with our (infant) carseat all the time and driving me crazy. I finally figured out the issue (in our case): The part of the strap towards the bottom, which is out of site, was twisting a little bit, causing one side to be tighter than the other. No I run my hands down the entire strap before tightening the straps, untwisting as needed, and I don't have this problem anymore.

Our Keyfit was terrible with this problem. I don't know how many times I tried to fix it, only to have it happen again the next time we put LO in the seat. So, so annoying.

Ugh, yes! I can't figure out why this is but one side always seems tighter than the other. When I get the loose side to be the correct tightness, the other side seems to be digging into his shoulder! So annoying!

Yes!! I never know why one side seems to be pulling tighter than the other. I always check the lap portion of the belt is taut, but still no dice. And yes, the hooks are even on the back side too. lol

Sometimes one side, the strap is way tighter than the other. LO seems to be sitting properly. Any ideas?

We have a Nextfit that is rf.
