I like floppy wide brim hats for the beach to help with sun glare and offer some protection to faces and necks. My kids are going to be 6 this summer - so not babies - but still want to protect them since we spend long hours on the beach for the week we visit. My daughter loves ponytails that are situated at the very top of her head - we even call them pineapple ponytails they are that high - haha .... So last summer we did a visor but I missed having any sort of neck protection...
