My baby girl had it at 4 weeks and got progressively worse for 3 weeks or so. Then it slowly cleared up by the 2 month check up and she now has smooth baby skin again at 4 months. She's fair (and super adorable), so I assume that might be why it's appears a little more red than it showed up on my daughter (who has more of an olive complexion). DD had it on her upper arms, neck, and shoulders, in addition to her face. It's also starting to go down the back of her neck and her chest.
