Sounds like one to me. Also, FWIW my baby rarely got (or gets) the amounts of sleep he is supposed to... Short of drugging him there's no much else I can do an he is healthy and happy! I know I wasted a lot of time worrying about his sleep amounts back then so hopefully the phase passes soon for you!

Sounds like a growth spurt. Also, babies sort of "wake up" after a few weeks, so it could be that, too (and lots don't chill out until 12 weeks!) My son hit a 3 week growth spurt. Even though he was 10 days early, it seems that most of his growth spurts were pretty much right on time.

Starting Saturday night, our boys have been much fussier than normal, not sleeping well, and are eating more frequently for longer periods of time. They were three weeks old yesterday, but their adjusted age would only be 39 weeks of gestation. They came home from NICU on a three-hour schedule, but the last few days they want to eat by about two hours after we started the last feeding. Each feeding takes a little over an hour to get them both fed and back down, so they've only been getting maybe 45 minutes of sleep, which doesn't add up to nearly enough sleep for a newborn (or a mama!).. They don't scream, but they just fuss all the time. I don't know if this is growth spurt or if they are just hitting a fussy phase or if they aren't feeling good, but I'm sooo tired and just want to figure out how to make my little men happy!

Thoughts?
