His first tooth started budding out just a few weeks ago at 5 months! It's just now pushing through more and breaking through the gum line. It's like when kids have a wound on their finger and tell you not to touch it cause it hurts. All she knows is her mouth hurts and she doesn't want anything near it. :/ You'll probably see bumps, soon.</p> <p>Take a washcloth, wet it, and put it in the freezer. Teething is a loooooong process, and chomping on things and drooling lots is normal at that age as well. I have always heard that teeth come in stages, so they may not be ready to break through, but they may still be coming up and bothering her!</p> <p>I used a lot of hyland's teething gel at that age. Other than that, she seemed happy and content and not in any pain until a couple of days ago when I tried to feed her once and it took several attempts to get her to latch because she kept crying--never seen that before and haven't since. </p> <p>Today not long after I fed her she was trying to chomp on my shoulder (!) and she is still smiley and chatty some of the time but also a bit more grumbley, not wanting to play so much and things seem to upset her at the drop of a hat. </p> <p>Her sleep is fine, if anything she seems to be needing more sleep. </p> <p>I took her temperature and that was normal...I've also rubbed teething gel on her gums and I'm not sure it's made any difference. </p>
