Yep, sounds normal!!

I was scared and freaked out and feeling like I couldn't even soothe my own kid when it happened to me. But it is NORMAL. In fact, next time I plan to take more breaks, putting baby down maybe in the swing and stepping away for a bit at a time...after all I'll still have lo1 next time around. IT WILL PASS! Hang in there!

We're going through the same thing for a week or so. I thought it was because he was over tired, but today he napped from 3:30-6 and when he woke up he was still inconsolable. Screams at the boob, at bottles. Lots of walking and bouncing can help for a few minutes at a time. Usually babywearing doesn't do much, but it actually worked tonight.

Hoping this phase ends soon.

I don't know what was up with C, but she did that on and off from about 2.5-3.5 months. I think it was colic, or gas, or reflux... either way it was awful. Luckily she's outgrown it now and it's just a hazy blur now.

Things that helped were bouncing on the exercise ball, patting her hard on the back, either while holding her upright or laying her flat on her tummy across our legs on on the floor, nursing (except the times she wanted nothing to do with it), and gas drops sometimes.

*hugs*
Is she gassy?
Have you carried her on her tummy?

I know nothing about witching hour... only colic. But I'm sending happy baby vibes your way!

It's just so freaking hard because it's nevvver happened before! She'd always get a little fussy, but I'd pop her in the carrier and she'd fall asleep...nothing remotely close to this full-out unconsolable screaming... :/

Yup! K's witching hour started around 5-6 if I recall and would last a couple of hours. Oy, those were long weeks. But I found that taking walks outside, while baby-wearing, REALLY helped! As a bonus, I think it contributed to post-partum weight loss!

LO did this from 7-9 no matter what but it started when he was younger. Now at 12 weeks it's almost nonexistent.

Eta: bath time calmed him down and having a very firm routine for night time in place helped so much.

Mommas of babies with colic, I salute you.

LO is 9.5 weeks and as of last night started a hellish what I assume is a witching hour. 5:00 last night she just MELTED down, NOTHING would calm her down... Tonight, the same exact thing like clockwork. She's been screeeeeaming since 5:00 again. I'm dying. :(. Nothing has helped...at all.

Is it common for it to start this late? She's fine all day, nothing different in my diet, she just...cries. She doesn't have any interest in nursing either. This momma is sad.

ETA: Last night she just...stopped out of nowhere and fell asleep.
