Only about 1% gets into the milk supply. She hasn't seemed bothered by anything I eat. I drank a lot of coffee pre-pregnancy, and cut back to one cup a day during pregnancy. I looked it up after DS was born 8 weeks ago and saw an article that said it shouldn't affect your baby one way or the other unless you drink more than 8-9 cups a day. Geez! I never drink that much. My friend posted on facebook how she drank several cups of coffee one day and breastfed her baby and the baby would not sleep that evening.
