Hardly :( she needs a nap every day since she wakes up at 5am but she fights it! She takes one maybe once a week and it's typically only 30 minutes long.

Yup. He still needs them and still wants them. He sleeps 1.5-3 hrs, usually. He isn't unpleasant on the very rare occasion that he skips, though. And he typically gets 11 hours at night.

Yes, but I think mostly because he only gets 8.5-9 hours of sleep overnight. If he got that extra 2-2.5 hours overnight, he could totally skip his nap.

DS1 dropped his nap at 27/28 months. He wasn't getting enough sleep overall when he did nap. He adjusted well. At first we had some problems with him towards the end of the day. He would be tired and extra cranky, which resulted in epic tantrums...

Nope. Hasnt since before she turned 2. :/ She does okay without it, to be honest. She just started getting all her sleep overnight instead and generally goes 12-14 hours through the night.

Yes, usually about 2 hours. There are some days when it is only 30-45 minutes, 4 hours (yest, but she stayed up late the night before) and we also skip naps when we are out and about.

Yes - mostly at daycare only though. She takes a solid 2 hour nap every day at daycare, but is generally a real bear about naps on the weekends when we are home. She will sleep in the car easily, but fights naps at home. She isn't cranky if she skips a nap though (this is only true for skipping weekend naps, I don't know if she would be cranky if she dropped the weekday/daycare naps too).

my DD stopped her regular afternoon nap at about 24 months. she sometimes might do a 2 hour nap at 2pm if she is at her grandmother's house, but almost never at home. if she does manage that nap, then she is a terror to put to bed at night.

Starting around 28 months my son stopped napping several times a week (he had periods of weeks starting before 2 where maybe one day he wouldn't nap but it never lasted long). Now his nap is either super late and when he does nap he binge naps. I have no way to predict what he is going to do. In the past week (i.e. since last Sunday), he has taken exactly ONE crib nap and two car naps. He acts like he still needs a nap so I don't know why he resists so much.

Does your 2.5+ year old still nap?
