I just set it up when I needed it, mostly on the weekends. She typically had to be by the tv though or outside to have something to look at.

We used the bassinet feature for the first three months, haven't used it since then. I'm considering bringing it out so I have a place to keep L while I'm in the bathroom or something, now that she is crawling...

My LO never liked it for play. We just used it for sleep when traveling

oh, also, ours is at the window, and LO likes to look up at the trees, so that also helps him to like it in there.

Occasionally, sometimes she plays quietly with her toys and othertimes she screams her head off until we save her. She hates being confined!

She played in it for like two weeks. Then she realized she didn't want to be confined in there anymore and screamed when I put her in :(

We have it set up and do use it for play, but less-so now that he is getting older (almost 6 months).

I have mine on the middle-rise setting, and there are hanging toys. I pop him in there if I want to have a shower or make my breakfast while he is awake. I say "Now you can have some time in the toys". If he has recently woken up he's usually good in there for 15 minutes or so.

I plan to keep it set-up for a long time so I can pop him in there and know he is safe if I ever need to have him out of my sight for a little while once he gets mobile.

We have used our pack n' play occasionally for napping and travel, but haven't actually set it up now for DS (4.5 mos) to play in. I'm wondering if I should wait til he can sit up and grasp toys better or if we can start sooner? It would be such a help now that he's a bit more mobile/rolly when I have to step away to make lunch or something...
