No, this doesn't happen. If baby is happy, I'm staying in bed!

@Mrs. Microscope: We're planning to cosleep long term, so I got nothing for that. Actually, it's one of the benefits of not sending her to her own room; I don't have to figure that out.

I leave him until he cries unless it is 5 am. At 5 am if I don't nurse him there's a good chance he is up for the day....and if I nurse him he maybe just maybe will sleep another hour.

Yep. Kaia did this. Totally normal and we didn't do anything. Turned the monitor down some so it wasn't so loud and let her babble away and put herself back to sleep. IMO, its good that she learned to put herself back to sleep and that we didn't go in when she didn't need us.

@Mrs. Microscope: Yep, same here she would slam her arms/legs roll around...lol We moved her I think right before 6 months, and transition was great!

@Torchwood: this is what I've been doing too, but I'm looking towards when she goes into her own room.

@mdf106: encouraging! I hope my LO is similar!

@FaithFertility: I think this is what we plan to do... Our LO is rather noisy and I'm having trouble getting back to sleep after MOTN feedings, even though she is sound asleep, grunting and squeaking away!

We cosleep, so when she starts fidgeting/squeaking (she's a very squeaky baby) I pull her out of her sleep nest and cuddle. I usually get at least an extra hour of sleep. If I leave her, she eventually wakes up fully, and doesn't go back to sleep.

I always waited until DS cried to get him, to give him a chance to go back to sleep. It worked very well, and he STTN very early.

Bump.

Also, if Lo is in another room and you are using a monitor, can you wake up before the crying starts for MOTN feedings? I am worried about not hearing her snort and grunt over the white noise machine once we transfer her to her own room!

@lamariniere: he'll fall asleep eventually, but the last time I let him babble it out, he woke up with a crazy full and leaky diaper. He goes to sleep a lot faster if I change him, give him some cuddles and a drink!

DD is nearly 6 months and is sleeping in her crib in our room. A few times over the last week she has been babbling in the middle of the night and not crying. It wakes me up because she's loud. Last night I let it go on for about 5 minutes before I went to her. She seemed surprised to see me. I picked her up, nursed her and she went back to sleep.

Does anyone else's baby do this? Do you go to them right away or leave them until they get fussy? I would like to just leave her babbling with the hope that she would go back to sleep, but it's hard to ignore her since she's in our room. She typically wakes up 3 times per night.
