They're now 2 and 5 (and the 2 year old is only a few lbs behind the 5 year old) so it seems less extreme. But when they were 18 months and 4, it felt ridiculous. They had the same amount of food to begin with but by the time the 4 year old finished eating her first serving, the 14 month old was working on his third helping!</p> <p>I have been told (with only anecdotal evidence) that kids tend to start to eat more again when they go to school full time because they are so eager to not be sitting that they fly through meals and therefore don'y pick so much. I know it’s normal but how does it work??? He’s twice her weight and he always seems to eat as little as possible. Meanwhile she eats like it’s her last meal and hasn’t gained in 4 months (just growing into her delightful baby chub). </p> <p>My 7yo started eating better around 6 I think so I know it will change but what is it with toddlers/preschoolers? :silly: </p>
