@HappyBaker: yeah, when I started my DD would wake up me still. I tried temping at the wakeup (which was usually 3-5am) and using an online temperature adjuster but I found that to be ineffective and I got a MUCH better picture by just temping at the same time each day (6:30 or 7am) as long as I'd had a good 30min-1hr of sleep.

@Shantuck: @kes18: thank you! I'm really hoping to make charting work for me but my DD keeps waking me up / messing with my sleep! This first half month has been confusing! Hopefully once I get AF and start fresh things will make more sense.

Generally yes, my temperature would dip down all the way to the coverline or below it and I would get AF that day or the next day. But sometimes it didn't actually fall until a day or two after AF started.

I would think it would be a greater dip than that, but you don't have a full month to go on so there is not a good picture.

I think that happens for lots of people but for me, my temps wouldn't dip until a few days after my period started (I charted for a year for TTC purposes). I think everyone is different.

I just started charting for the first time and started mid cycle and I'm not sure exactly when my period in June was! I know it was at least a month ago as of this week because I didn't have my period during 4th of July weekend.

Should I see a dip before my period gets here? How big of a dip?
