Occasionally when we go out to eat or if we just happen to have something but it's rare. She has a little bag of random candy leftover from parties/holidays and every once in awhile she'll ask if she can pick out a treat. It's usually something like fruit snacks or cheese. It's been a good way to limit it. Tonight will be a bit of a struggle since it's their Halloween party at school. He's going to be hopped up on sugar tonight, so definitely no more at home. That being said though, dessert is only offered if my LOs have finished their dinners and had some fruit first. I don't make them finish their meals but if they have room for dessert, they have room for their meat/veg/whatever. He ate a LOT of carrots and chicken for dinner so I was fine with a little treat since he was already full of the good stuff. I'm fairly lax about that sort of thing compared to some though... </p>
