But we are rebels, and don't. The risk locally in not having one is you can be fined if the police show up to an alarm without a permit you are running the risk of being fined. One of the things we found out is that to have a security system we need to pay for an alarm permit yearly. it isnt expensive but it just came as a surprise to me. The alarm permit application requires that we list a minimum of 2 people who live within 30 miles, and have our home keys and know our alarm code! But we are new to this state and new to this area, so I find it kinda bizarre.</p> <p>Is this normal everywhere else </p>
