Ours is a national chain (Goddard) and we send in homemade food for daily meals/snacks as well as class parties. My son in Pre-K has 21 kids in his class and somehow there's not a single food allergy, so we have no restrictions. We have to provide packed lunch from home. They provide snacks. But birthday treats must be prepackaged (not homemade). </p> <p>My son is in the 1 year old room, so pretty much all kids have packed lunch. But the school does have a program (they contract with a local provider) to buy a lunch - basically, you order in advance and the lunches are all delivered to the school each day. A doctor's note was not required, but they started discouraging it once she got into the walker/ toddler room. We are not permitted to bring any outside food or drink into the daycare.
