Yes. They have an on-site "chef" and prepare all meals and snacks and focus a lot on using local, organic ingredients and produce. The classes each also have a garden where they grow tomatoes and stuff for learning and snacks. You can also bring in your own food, but there are rules due to food allergies.

The two daycares we seriously considered-- one provided all food and you needed a doctor's note to provide something different! And it was crappy stuff. The one we will almost certainly go with, it provides snacks (mostly fruits and veggies) but you're welcome to provide your own. You provide lunch.

Yes. Breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. I send him some fruit every day for his afternoon snack though, most of the parents send snacks. He started there at 12 months and the first few months I sent lunch of foods he'd eat. Once they were confident he would eat the provided lunch they told me to stop sending food. We sent milk until he was 2 as they only provide 2%.

2 snacks and lunch. If you pick up after 530, they'll also feed dinner ( just leftover lunch though.) YOu just need to bring in formula/breastmilk if they still take it. I can't remember what they said about purees, they girl don't start until January.

No. We have to bring a lunch each day. For the older kids you bring in snacks monthly or so and they feed them so they don't get brought everyday. There's always signs on the door reminding parents that they're running out of juice or popcicles in the summer or popcorn for movie days.

I think it depends on your state laws. In CA I think that daycare centers are not allowed to provide hot food. They can do snacks but no cooking, so most that I have seen and heard about do not provide lunch but do provide some snacks. Mine go to an in-home daycare and there they are allowed to cook, so they provide the food.

We had to provide breast milk (obviously) or formula while she was on it, and purees if needed for infant room, but we could also select solid foods off the regular menu for the babies to be given as we felt comfortable.
