Of course our daughter got really excited, and so Bee is there now. I'll be going to our son's Family Day later this week.</p> <p>Our son's Pre-K and our daughter's preschool also had regular Family Days, and our son's Kindergarten had a monthly Family Friday. That's in addition to parent-teacher conferences, school recitals, etc.</p> <p>I can understand why public schools would want to throw Family Days, and we do learn useful stuff about school then. But I feel like summer camps and daycares kind of screw working parents with their Family Days. It's like the worst of all worlds: I don't get any work done, plus I pay to spend time with my own kids.</p> <p>Fortunately my son has gotten more understanding about family days as he's gotten older and understood the concept of work. I may stop going to some of these next year (we'd keep going for my daughter until she's a bit older too).</p> <p>Does your daycare/preschool/camp have a Family Day? </p>
