Haha! I don't know that he thinks he's quiet, but he's certainly not at any rate. He always comes in the bedroom and starts talking to me in a normal tone of voice when LO is napping/sleeping. And when I tell him to shush, he blows me off! He'll lower his voice, but he acts like it's no big deal. Ugh...

@swurlygurl: ha! They must be the same person! I'm in bed way sooner than him too...his bedtime and getting ready routines are much longer than mine :)

@TurtleDoves: You'd think so, wouldn't you! We just got a new fridge that has the ice dispenser...so at least he isn't cracking an entire ice cube tray into the bin in the middle of the night anymore!

@highwire: put your cup *here* press the ice button. Ice should fall right in. I wonder how the ice gets on the kitchen floor, everyday. He says "it comes out too fast".

Yes! Drives me crazy! I'm pretty sure his feet are made of lead because every step is stomping. And, why do you have to slam a drawer shut - can't you just lightly close it?

@tinyperson: Yes, the fluffing of the pillows and arranging the sheets/blankets is the worst. I've usually been in bed for 10 minutes by the time he comes to bed (his bedtime routine is also way longer than mine, ridiculous), so I'm all relaxed, then he comes and disturbs me. Ugh.

I used to get really mad at DH for making so much noise. Most of the times he doesn't even realize how loud he is. The good thing is that LO has adjusted to all the extra noise and doesn't budge when he is in a deep sleep.

DH is the loudest person in the world.

Hawking loogies, blowing his nose, dropping ice on our hard wood floors. He is a tornado.

Yes! He somehow thinks being in another room creates a sound barrier through which none of his noises can escape. *lesigh*

Do.not.get.me.started!!!
He is the least graceful person in the world. He had to text me when he gets home because if LO is asleep, I tell him to come in through the front door. He is so loud.
And don't get me started about his phone conversations. He thinks the other person can't hear him unless he yells. It's especially fun when he skypes with his brothers during a football game. And he wonders why LO likes to skip naps when daddys home.

Oh and yeah, I love when he's like "babe-I had a crazy dream last night". He doesn't understand why I don't want to hear anything about anything at 6am. LO wakes up at 9:30. Thanks DH:) he is just...a special man :) <3

Think he's quiet at night, but really isn't?

LO is 5 months old and her crib is in our room. We're keeping it there till after we get back from a trip to Newfoundland to see DHs family at the end of June.

DH really thinks he's being quiet in the adjoining bathroom when he's getting ready for bed -- but he's really not!! He bangs the door closed, rattles his toothbrush in the holder, blows his nose loudly, etc. then he comes in and has to fluff his pillow and spends a good 30-40 seconds arranging the sheets/quilt before he settles. Sigh. I think because I'm the one who gets up with LO at night, he doesn't worry as much about waking her up!

My favourite is after feeding her and getting her back down in the crib, he rolls over and loudly whispers, "is she ok?". If she wasn't ok, he'd be hearing about it! I wouldn't be crawling back into bed if there was something wrong!!

Anyone else have this problem? I feel like I'm always on him to be quiet, and he must be annoyed! I know he's trying, I just think he doesn't realize... :)
