Yes, my dh did all night feedings so I could sleep. Ds now sleeps through the night, but when he's having a bad night, dh is the one that's up with him. I feel extremely lucky because he's very involve and I never had to ask him to be.

Yes, we take turns. When she was waking twice a night we would decide who got first and second shift. Now, if he is off a day during the week he will do any night time wakings so I can get a good nights sleep for me to go to work the next day. If we both work the next day we just take turns.
We do this with washing all the bottles and making them as well.
I asked him once why he helps so much without me asking and his response was " She's my daughter too. Why in the world would I expect you to do it all on your own" *swoons*

On weekends, he always wakes up before me anywas, so I sleep in and him & LO do their own thing until I wake up.

When she was waking up and I was back to work full time we went every other night, but now she STTN so it's not an issue. He wakes up and gives her the morning bottle while I get ready though! Weekends, we usually do every other morning on who gets up at 6 with her.

Yes, all the time! My son has been going through some night terrors lately and has been calling out for my DH every night. So we decided that if my son gets up, he would go in. And if my DD gets up, I would go in. Thankfully my daughter has been STTN so mama gets a good night's rest. :)

He did for a few weeks but now I have the hang of it (and am not working) plus she only gets up once or twice a night. I don't even get out of bed to tend to her. He does Friday nights so I can sleep, too! When I go back to work, we will split the nights

If it's before we go to bed he'll take it, other than that, not really. He works crazy long hours right now, though, and I don't want him getting hurt because he's tired (he works in a warehouse).

He does often get up with him in the morning so I can catch a bit of sleep, though. And on the weekends he'll get up at least once (and still take mornings). I still do the bulk but it works out okay.

Wow - so many of you ladies have such amazing SOs!

My DH doesn't help (which isn't to say he isn't still amazing), mostly because I've told him I don't expect him to. He works and I stay home, so I can grab a nap during the day but he can't. He does do bedtime though (gives her a bottle of breast milk and gets her to sleep) so that I can go to bed before DD settles for the night, so that works for me.

At the beginning, he would get up and bring him to me so I could nurse, but then he went through a phase of never wanting to get up in the middle of the night. Now we trade off if he wakes up, which is rare.

During the three weeks he was off when the boys were born, DH was up at every night feeding with me. After he went back to work and I was still on maternity leave, I handled the night feedings so he could get a good night's sleep since he had to work. Now that we're both back at work, the boys don't have night feedings anymore, but if one or both wake up, we alternate who gets up to tend to them (but that's always just popping the pacifier back in and rewrapping their swaddle).

He does his best to help. But LO is securely on team mommy right now and so sometimes she refuses to be soothed by him. She currently is cutting her first tooth, has a double ear infection, and diarrhea/terrible diaper rash from the antibiotics. Nights have been rough to say the least. Not to mention I'm sick with my own sinus infection and we both work full time.

He used to, but he's not so great at it since going back to work full-time. Luckily, Xander seems to mostly be sleeping through the night, though when he woke up this morning at 4:30, Hubs hopped out of bed to get him and change his diaper before I fed him, so sometimes he still helps out!

Thankfully yes! He handles the night wakeups if she does not need to eat. When DD was first born, i tried to be up with her most of the time since DH had to work, but he'd change a diaper or go in and rock her. Fortunately, DD slept really well from the start!
