It's kind of rough, honestly, because he always wants to go and have "real vacation time" but I can't take that much time off so we both end up feeling a little resentful of each other's jobs. I had recently switched positions at work to something with less hours to accommodate my intensive school schedule. They don't really have extra work for me so I only work 32 hours a month. I'm doing one online summer class, but I'm basically a SAHM for the summer. I haven't been a SAHM since J was 1 - so I'm readjusting - but it's good to have a break!<br /> This will be my last summer with a break though, once I graduate in Dec. There are no extra breaks or slow parts of our summer times. The only bonus is traffic is slightly lighter and we don't have to sit through school zones. </p> <p>We haven't had a real "summer break" since we graduated college in 2008 and 2009. We also don't have any other breaks like "winter/Xmas (just the day of)" or "spring". Ha. </p> <p>Do you/your SO have a slow summer season at work or are otherwise off for the summer? Anyone else still stuck at work just like any other time of the year and want to commiserate? :) </p>
