@winniebee: Even now my LO eats a ton some days and hardly anything others. As long as he's happy, has enough dirty diapers, and all that other good stuff I just figure everything is okay. Hope your appointment goes well tomorrow!

@brownie: hmm could be! He slept like 50% more during the day today. In the end he only drank about 20 oz. A little lower than normal. Plenty of wet and poopies though. Babies are do tough to figure out!

It could be a growth spurt. Some kids eat like crazy and some kids sleep like crazy.

@winniebee:Is he having plenty of wet diapers? I'm sure you'll feel better once you see the ped tomorrow. I remember my son didn't always have a consistent feeding schedule too. Somedays he just wouldn't eat that much. But he had plenty of wet diapers and was maintaining a steady weight so my ped said not to worry. He eventually starting chugging his milk again.

@winniebee: funny, M is just the opposite today. She took 8oz between 10:30am and 2:45pm today! She kept acting like she was starving and she was suuuuper fussy all morning and afternoon so I kept offering her 2oz servings and she would gobble them up! I'm guessing changes in eating habits is normal... Also, she hasn't eaten since 2:45. She's snoozing in her swing (thankfully). Haha.

@Honeybee: We go to the doc for his 2 month tomorrow anyways. It's just bizarre because he's totally happy. Apparently just sleepy.

@winniebee: I wouldn't worry as long as he's not showing signs of dehydration. He might make up for it tomorrow!

@Honeybee: Interesting. I just calculated though and so far, DS has only taken 12 ounces today! I haven't been keeping track of his intake b/c he pretty regularly eats at 2-3 hour intervals, so this is just bizarre and there's no way that he'll hit 25 ounces by midnight....

Yes, DS's exact intake varies day to day. His average is 30 ounces a day, but he'll normally have one day at 35 (ish) ounces, one day at at 30 (ish) ounces, one day at 25 (ish) ounces and then he repeats. It's so funny, his feeding charts look like a little rollercoaster with peaks every three days. :)

DS is 2 months today. He is in a great mood, not fussing, not expressing any tummy discomfort, and slept great last night. He hasn't fed much though, primarily because he is napping quite a bit, I think. He fed at 2 a.m., 6 a.m., 10 a.m., 2 p.m. (and it's now 5:15 here). He hasn't increased his milk intake either. He's a peanut (9 lbs at 2 months....but up 4 lbs since birth) and drinks 3-3.5oz a feeding. I wonder what's up.

Has this happened to anyone else?
