R loves snacks, but eats breakfast, lunch and dinner well too. So I let her have them most of the time!

She asks for food all day "raisins? Grapes? Apple? Banana? Yogurt? Apple sauce? Candy fruit? (Which is what she calls fruit leather)" even while she's eating a meal I'm being asked for more things. She gets ones snack a day (after nap, before dinner) and then I have to tell her to wait until the next meal time

All day long. And she'll tell me she doesn't want lunch or tea, just snacks, regardless of what I serve for each one. Drives me mad.

Only when I was pregnant and relaxed every household policy about everything. Usually we have set meal and snack times. If LO is really asking for a snack at some other time, first we have some water, then I offer a raw veggie option.

olive begs for snacks but i don't give them to her unless she's had a full meal. my kids aren't good eaters even when i completely eliminate snacks so i try to limit them as much as possible.

No we have set snack times - mid-morning and mid-afternoon. So far, she hasn't asked for any snacks in between.

C could snack all day long, but I don't let her. We got into a bad habit with W when she was younger and she wouldn't eat her dinner. So, they get a small snack when we pick them up from daycare (that they provide) and then nothing until dinner.

@sorrycharlie: mine says she is hungry when she eyes something that she wants. I will offer her something healthy and she will say, "no thanks, not hungry."

Ugh, E always says she's hungry. Even immediately after meals. But sometimes, she's not! I offer her water, try to distract her or get her down for a nap because otherwise she will graze all day. And she eats nothing at meal time.

No, she definitely asks for snacks but I try not to offer them. Typically only 1x a day, after nap and before dinner.

My daughter does this all morning and afternoon. It would drive me crazy but she has always been a snacker instead of a meal eater.

Weirdly, she has mostly stopped snacks. She's just eating bigger meals. I did not do it on purpose or anything, but now she only asks for a snack a couple of times a week. Like I said, totally weird! I snack more than she does.
