Yes! I am obsessed with music. I meticulously picked out all of our wedding music. Well except for the song DH and his men came out to. He picked that...

"Groom's song" KC and Jojo, All My Life
Song I walked down the aisle to: Rascal Flatts, "God Blessed the Broken Road." (We had been together in college and after, broke up, and 6 years later got back together...)
Wedding First Dance song: Brad Paisley, "Then" (see above, lol.)

And now that I'm living in a crazy foreign land, Brad Paisley's "Southern Comfort Zone" really gets me through some days. I just listened to it in the car on the way home! Lines like, "I know what it's like to talk, and have nobody understand" can almost make me cry some days.

DH and I are both musically inclined. I sing and was a classical violinist for many years. DH plays guitar, bass, drums and a little piano. He has been in several bands.

I tend to think of my life as having a soundtrack. A lot of big moments all happened with music in the background. Like, the first song we ever danced to was at senior prom and it was Love by Keyshia Cole. The first time DH told me he loved me, we were in his car and Your Song by Elton John was playing. I walked down the aisle to Imagine by John Lennon. Our first dance at our wedding was Hold You In My Arms by Ray LaMontagne. The first time I felt C move, we were listening to BB King. We listened to Such Great Heights by Iron and Wine when driving to the hospital while I was in labor. I even remember DH looking at me and saying "This song is always going to remind me of our baby now".

My memories seem to be like watching a montage with these songs playing. Does your life have a soundtrack? What songs define your past?
