LO doesn't get upset, but her poor eyes get red. She just sits there playing, I get more upset then she does.

my son is soooooooo guilty of this! once he gets water in his eyes he'll cry and cry. he's 3 now and i still get in the tub before his full bath and squat there so i can carry him and wash his hair without getting water on his face.

It depends on her mood. I find that this is the case with a lot of things!

I use a handheld showerhead on a light setting all over LO's body and head and she just giggles! Hopefully, she stays tolerant of water when she gets older!

haha yeah. Wagon Jr. will yell most times. Sometimes when we count while we're doing it he actually laughs. I think it depends on what kind of mood he's in that night.

@MamaMoose: That's a really cool idea. I will have to tell my sister about that because my niece throws major fits about water in her eyes.

Yeah. She hates when water gets in her face.
If she's tired and cranky she'll cry and cry. If not, she'll continue to play after I wipe the water from her face.

I read on a blog recently about a mom who had this problem. She ended up bringing a collander from the kitchen into the bath and using that to "make it rain" on her kids head and then they thought it was fun. Maybe try that?

LO gets so mad when I pour water on her head...She looks like I'm drowning her. Then she wipes her own eyes and continues on playing. :)

Yes, DD acts like its the worst torture in the entire world. Sometimes she gets over it right away, but sometimes she stays cranky/whiny about it until she falls asleep. :/

Sometimes I can get Charlie to tilt his head back, and then no water gets in his eyes. But other times he won't, and I am forced to just pour water over his head.

He usually reacts like I am torturing him in the worst possible way! He starts screaming for a towel over and over... I give it to him, then he wipes his eyes, then he's totally normal again. Like nothing just happened at all.

Does your LO act like you are waterboarding them when you rinse shampoo from their hair? How long are they upset afterward?
