YES! Today was our LO's baptism @11:00. She woke up at 5:30 (normal, unfortunately), napped from 8:00-8:30, and.... that's it. She was so tired by the time she was baptized, I'm shocked she was able to keep it together. All of our family was here from out of town and hardly anybody else held her because she was so overtired and needing her mom/dad.

Haha...yes. Last weekend, he didn't take his midday nap, and when my mother-in-law, who hadn't seen him since August, arrived all excited and got in his face, he started to scream. Luckily, he conked out for an hour later on, so she got a cheerier version of him before she left.

Not always but it has happened before. I think the more stressed we are about it the more they won't nap. LOL!

This always happens to us.. Usually before birthday parties and then they are so cranky and not happy to be there and embarrassing .. I chalk it up to Murphy's law.

Yes! They never nap well when I really need them to nap. I think it's because they sense my anxiousness and that makes them hard to relax.

Or DD will decide to take an extra long nap before we have to be somewhere at a certain time, then I have to wake her before she's ready! Boo!

Thankfully LO"s napped well before big events.
I was worried she wouldn't sleep before her 1st birthday party, but she had a great nap and was in a really good mood for the party.
She also napped well before all of the flights we took.

Now that she's getting older she's really starting to resist her daily nap. Yesterday was misery because she skipped it. Today she resisted like crazy, but I won. Muahaa. She's been sleeping for 40+ mins. Hopefully she'll go another 40 at least.

Charlie and Olive are excellent nappers, but they seem to miss naps only on important days! For instance Charlie's 1 year photoshoot and 1st birthday party -- he got maybe 15 min naps!

Olive's cake smash shoot (short nap + sick), and today's doctor's appt (missed nap). Poor Olive has been up 5 hours.

On every other day, she's an excellent napper!

Does that ever happen to you?
