Sometimes he switches it up and requests The Very Hungry Caterpillar or Little Owl's Night. Right now it's a paw patrol book: Pup Pup and Away. He goes through phases where he wants the same books every night for a month or two. She asks for it every night, and we read it to her... but man, it is a dark story! Basically this witch makes a child out of straw but the child doesn't come to life because the witch has no love in her heart. So the witch gets mad and starts turning little children into prickly bushes. It has a happy-ish ending, but it's one of the darkest children's books I've ever read. But my daughter loves it!! I don't enjoy reading the book though...</p> <p>Haha I just looked on Amazon.com, and 50% of the reviews are 1 star. I guess the darkness is too much for most parents! Actually correction: I just read the reviews, and the 1 star reviews are all from Wiccans. Didn't see that one coming!</p> <p>Does your LO ask for the same book every night?
