LO1 always asks to have longer hair and sometimes pulls on it, as if that would make it grow longer.

@autumnlove: I can remember my siblings and me debating whether our youngest sibling should be a boy or a girl. Like if we voted and decided, that's what we would get. But we never came to an agreement and got a girl. :)

My LO has said she wants a baby brother too now (baby sister is 2 months old). Not for a long time but probably never).

@mediagirl: She has been talking about being a big sister for 9 months now. It will happen, we just don't know when. And she doesn't know we're TTC, lol.

As for something she asked to be that actually can't happen... She wants to go to work with mr or Daddy instead of daycare. Daddy is a lumberjack, so that's a bit dangerous, and I teach all day, no way could I give her the attention she needs.

One night when we were doing bath time, DS (3.5 years old then) told me he wanted to be a girl. I actually forgot exactly what he was saying and how it led to that "statement", I think some girls at his class said he can't sing the "Frozen" song because he is a boy...etc. But that night he was very adament about he want to become a girl when he grows up. Kinda stressed me out a bit there I just said, well, when you grow older and if you still want to be a girl then we'll talk about it. haha *sweat*. Well he hasn't asked about it again....

@MamaG: Every time I got my hair cut when I was little, I asked the stylist for long, blonde curls. I just wouldn't accept that she couldn't cut short and brown to be long and blonde. :silly:

My DS asks when he will have a baby in his tummy all the time, and when his boobies will make milk. It's tough, we have explained that only Mommys have babies in their tummies and make milk but he can still be a Daddy and give his baby love and snuggles.

Eh, sometimes. We just giggle about it and he drops it. I don't tell him he can't, we just think about what it'd be like and then he's over it.

My daughter's best friend's mom is pregnant. The girl talks a lot about being a big sister (as is expected). But now my daughter tells me that she wants to be a big sister. "Mommy, it's the only thing I want in the whole wide world." Not happening. She has also asked to HAVE big sisters, too.

Does your child ask to be something they can't be/will not be?
