Our pedi also told us it's totally normal and not to fret. As long as they're hydrated and are eating something, then the days they're ravenous will help cover the days they don't care to eat. It's still worrisome as a parent, but reassuring it's "normal". Other days they eat like little pigs. I feel like there are more days that they barely eat though, and it worries me sometimes.
