But he's started calling me mom and mommy recently too. He uses mom and dad when he needs something urgent or serious, like "mom, I need more milk!". He's never called me dad, although that's what I'll suggest when he's a bit older.</p> <p>Olive started calling me dada and daddy lately, which I love! She says it most when I'm downstairs and she's at the top of the stairs waiting at the baby gate... so if she's near the baby gate, I will actually start walking down the (circular) stairs in front of her so that she'll call for me by name!
