He usually cries when I close the door for his naps, but it only lasts about 30 seconds. For bedtime, he usually doesn't cry unless he isn't quite ready to go to sleep.

He usually only cries for a minute or two, and only sometimes--maybe once or twice a week. Any longer than that and something is wrong (dropped his paci, for example). More often he stays awake for a bit (tonight it was an HOUR!) and rolls around his crib/cuddles his giraffe/rubs his blanket on his face. Not crying, just chill.

@autumnlove: I went back to work only after she finally went to sleep (it took about an hour and some change) and I was pretty confident that all DH would have to do was check in on her via the monitor.

She doesn't cry at bed time. She does sometimes cry at nap time.... because she doesn't want to nap. But it's for less then a minute then she's out.

No. Sometimes he gets into a little phase for a couple days where he does, but that's if he's overtired it seems.

It must be a phase they go through at that age because my 19 month old just started doing this too! She cried for a few minutes yesterday and today before her nap and cried again tonight after we put her down. We left her up there for about 5-10 minutes and she cried so hard, she threw up a little :( I ended up holding her in the rocking chair and she fell asleep. I feel your pain...it's hard to hear when they are screaming out for Mama. Hopefully things will go back to normal soon!

Nope. Often times I nurse her but recently she started wanting to just nurse a few minutes & then be laid down. It's one or the other though... No CIO or fussing.

Yes. Most nights, albeit only for a few seconds. Tonight however, it felt like sleep training all over again. Poor little lamb. I just wanted to scoop her up and snuggle her all night. But she sleeps so much better in her crib than with DH and I . . . *sigh*

Our nearly-10-month-old does, but that's mainly because "I'm full of energy, not tired at all, and I definitely don't need to go to ... zzzzz".

Which is pretty much how it goes most nights.

Not unless he's overtired - he's almost 15 months and has been in his crib in his own room for almost 3 months. He cried at first but it never lasted very long and would end up playing with his aquarium fishy or Scout before quietly falling asleep. I also leave a sippy of water in his crib which he loves.

My toddler(19 months) started crying this week. :-( I went back into her room the first night and she cried (screamed) for 15 minutes. She cried for 10 minutes yesterday and 4 minutes tonight. I hate it because she screams MOMMY, MAMA and the baby's name. She never cries for Daddy..weird!

Does your LO cry at bedtime? All the time or just in phases? I hope this is just a brief hiccup!
