Eat veggies! I don't know how they do it, but no matter when I send veggies to daycare, they get him to eat them somehow! I think usually what happens is that his food gets mixed up a bit in transit, and the teacher will mix it up more so that he can't really pick out the veggies...so they just go in when a strawberry goes in!

His preferred lovey is different too. At home, he hates having a blanket in his crib or anywhere on him. So he prefers the glowing Fisher Price Seahorse. At school, he ignores the seahorse and only wants his blanket. Go figure...

@lavendar same here! She won't touch meat at home, but eats it right up at school!

Yep. Apparently they say all kinds of words at daycare that they don't say at home.

@lavender: Yes! Mine too! He'll eat more at daycare than he will for us at home. It's so frustrating!

My kids are apparently angels and "model students" at day care and school (words of the teachers). At home, they are the exact opposite!

LO uses the potty at daycare, but will NOT at home (and when I ask if she wants to use the potty when we're at home she looks at me like "WTF would I do that?!"). Ah, peer pressure!!! :silly:

@lavender: yeah R will eat veggies at day care but doesn't touch them at home. Or spits them out if she grabs it by accident.

Be happy? Haha. I know it's an end of the day thing, but as she soon as she sees me at pickup, it's meltdown until bedtime. Which shocks daycare because she's such an angel. :meh:

But otherwise, she goes down for naps easily, eats better, and follows directions better. I don't think I baby her at home, but she sure seems to expect me to do everything for her!

He cruises all around. At home, he sits down and whines for me to pick him up :silly: He also signs for milk there, and won't do it at home.

Yep! All the time! Although she also does things for me sometimes that she won't do at school . . . like using all her words (this weekend she busted out with zebra and penguin) and being super duper silly (covering my eyes to play peek-a-boo and looking through things with a holes in them and making funny faces).

R never will say bye bye to me when I leave. Or won't to her friends when I pick her up. But she says it to teachers/director when they are in and out of the room all day.
She talks all day there, lines up to wash her hands after meals, takes her plate to the trash after lunch, etc. Most importantly she signs more at day care but looks at us like we are crazy when we do it for her, asking her if she wants more.

Doesn't do any of this for us. What the heck? I am trying to get her to put her dirty clothes in the hamper after bath, no luck so far. But she should be based on day care.
